Greensboro Tree Board
The Tree Board meets at 10 am on the second Tuesday of each month at Greensboro City Hall. The board is charged with making recommendations concerning Greensboro's public trees. In addition the Tree Board organizes the annual Arbor Day celebration and engages in public education efforts concerning Greensboro's urban tree canopy. Greensboro is recognized by the national Arbor Day Foundation as an official Tree City USA.
Public Trees are located on city right of way. Many of these trees have a blue, numbered tag attached to their trunk. These trees must be evaluated by the Greensboro Tree Board before any pruning or tree removal takes place. Click here to request a tree evaluation.
