![]() Classic Cars fill the streets of Downtown from 4-8 pm on Saturday, September 15 Downtown Greensboro will welcome back the Rock n’ Roll Dayz Cruise-In on Saturday, September 15 from 4-8pm on the Courthouse lawn as classic cars line both sides of North Main Street and visitors enjoy the sounds of the popular Terence Lonon & The Untouchables. The event is free for all attendees! The Annual Rock n’ Roll Dayz Cruise-In event is hosted by Greensboro bases Georgia Classic Cruisers Car Club, and the Greensboro Better Hometown Program. The event will feature antique, classic, vintage, street rods and special interest cars. In addition, the event boosts live music, dancing, shopping, restaurants specials, hula-hoops and food concessions to enhance the street-side Cruise-In. For car participants, a registration fee of $15.00 includes door prizes, plus the opportunity to win one of the awards graciously sponsored by Jimmy Britt Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC. Vehicle registration starts at 4:00pm and awards will be distributed later that evening. Approximately 100 specialty cars will grace the streets of Greensboro, including everything from stock antiques to highly modified Hot Rods. There will be an abundance of 60’s-70’s “muscle cars” to include GTO’s, Corvette’s, Chevelle’s, and Camaro’s, plus Ford Mustang’s, and Chrysler products including Barracuda’s, Belvedere’s and Road Runners. There will be something for every car enthusiast to enjoy. Dust off your dancing shores and prepare to dance the night away in historic Downtown Greensboro, listening to the sounds of the Terence Lonon & The Untouchables. The band delights listeners and dancers by performing an extensive collection of Motown hits, golden oldies, Carolina Beach music, timeless Rhythm & Blues favorites, and much more. Join the fun as historic downtown Greensboro takes a step back into the past as attendees who “remember when” swap stories. Bring your lawn chairs and quilts, or sit upon the bales of hay with family and friends as you enjoy a good ole’ southern family outing. Many downtown businesses and restaurants will remain open for you shopping and dining pleasure. For the evening, there will be food concessions from the Christ City of Faith Church, returning with the popular BBQ chicken, plus the Boy Scout Troup number 567 who will bring their famous hot dogs and sausage dogs with peppers and onions.
